Hampus Lindwall er vidt anerkjent som en kreativ improvisatør og tolker av samtidsmusikk på orgel. Han har holdt konserterer i Europa, USA og Kina. Han involverer seg gjerne i samarbeidsprosjekter med komponister og visuelle kunstnere som Cory Arcangel, John Duncan, Mauro Lanza, Palle Mikkelborg, Jesper Nordin og skuespiller Macha Méril.
Hampus Lindwall er svensk, men bor og arbeider i Paris. Her studerte han med Rolande Falcinelli og er siden 2005 organist Saint-Esprit kirken, hvor han etterfulgte komponisten Jeanne Demessieux.
Når han trakterer orgelet i Domkirken på "Battle of Giants" lørdag kveld er det grunn til å forvente noe eksepsjonelt interessant.
Hampus har utviklet sitt eget oppsett for live elektronisk bearbeidelse av orgel ved hjelp av iPad. Dette blir det anledning for publikum å prøve seg på i en workshop på aktivitetsdagen lørdag.

Hampus Lindwall is praised as a performer of contemporary and 20th century music and as a creative improviser. He was the last disciple of Rolande Falcinelli and is since 2005 the Titular Organist in Saint-Esprit, Paris, as was Jeanne Demessieux between 1933 and 1962.
Hampus Lindwall gives concert throughout Europe, in the U.S.A. and China. He is doing numerous collaborations and first performances with composers and visual artists like Cory Arcangel, John Duncan, Mauro Lanza, Palle Mikkelborg, Jesper Nordin and actress Macha Méril.
Born (1976) in Stockholm, he studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Under the influence of Rolande Falcinelli he moved to Paris in 2002 and studied at the Conservatoire de Saint-Maur-des-Fossés and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Lyon. He won the 1st prizes in the International improvisation competitions “Orgel ohne Grenzen, Air Art 2003″ in Saarbrücken, Germany, and the “Prix Boëllmann-Gigout”, 2004 in Strasbourg, France.
